Near Peer Mentors

SAfG administers a leadership program in which high school girls serve as assistant teachers and mentors for our TK-6 afterschool programs.  This opportunity will not only help build communication skills, leadership skills and provide an opportunity to further engage in STEM, but also this is a great opportunity for our TK-6 girls.  To have a role model in the class closer in age is powerful and beneficial.  It’s a win-win for all!

SAfG Near Peer Opportunities!

SAfG is recruiting High School Students to be teaching mentors during our sessions that run 7-10 weeks long. You will volunteer two hours per week in a virtual for girls in TK-6th grade who are just learning STEM, and they will be learning through hands-on experiences. You do not need to be an expert, but have basic knowledge. You should also enjoy working with children! If you are interested in this opportunity, please sign up here!
