As a Hispanic first-generation college student, I want to be able to be a role model to younger girls who are in a similar situation that I was once in. I want them to get comfortable with the idea that women of color can also be successful and pursue careers in STEM. It would be wonderful to help them become more confident and comfortable when they are talking about their creativity and ideas about science! I can't wait to see how much growth these little scientists have throughout the course!
Some things that I like to do for fun are watching movies and baking different types of desserts. I also enjoy exploring nature through hikes and road trips.
