Your Exciting Role
As our Volunteer Engagement and Events Project Manager, you'll be at the heart of our most impactful community initiatives:
Event & Project Management:
Design, manage and orchestrate engaging Family STEAM Events, including but not limited to scheduling and leading meetings with stakeholders, managing event timelines, coordinating marketing and survey implementation and analysis, managing supplies, and partner recruitment and outreach.
Prepare and send all acknowledgement letters and emails to donors
Lead and successfully execute student registration process at the beginning of the school year
Support the conducting of student surveys, site coordinator surveys, and parent surveys. Support with logistics and coordination of the team and input of surveys.
Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, and presentations
Assist with other project management tasks such as tracking deadlines
Volunteer & Community Engagement:
Build and nurture a diverse network of STEAM professionals as classroom Role Models and volunteers
Develop and strengthen strategic partnerships with corporations, community organizations, volunteers at community events
Research and establish new corporate volunteer partnership opportunities to expand our reach
Manage Volunteer Platform
Support recruitment and train volunteers
Create compelling content for volunteer monthly newsletters, training materials and other volunteer communications
Other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate brings:
Education and/or Experience:
A qualified candidate will possess a combination of the following education and/or equivalent experience
A minimum of five (5) years project and/or event management experience
A minimum of three (3) years volunteer engagement experience
A minimum of three (3) years experience collaborating with outside partners
Experience working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously
Bachelor's degree preferred
Required Skills and Abilities:
Positive attitude and passion for impact-driven work and a commitment to the mission and values of the organization
Possess a valid driver's license and have access to a working vehicle
Ability to take feedback and incorporate it into improving processes
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work
Ability to build and maintain relationships with outside stakeholders
Ability to pivot quickly, prioritize, innovate, and successfully meet deadlines
Possess a learners mindset, strong problem solving ability, and be solutions-oriented
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Handle confidential information with sensitivity and discretion
Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative work style
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Stay up to date with knowledge and best practices related to the position and STEM education
Proficiency with Google Workspace, Asana, and Excel
Demonstrate timely, clear, and proactive communication
Be accountable, take ownership of projects and responsibilities
Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, especially when working with children
